Richard A. Pownell, Sr.
1939-2019
Richard Allen Pownell, Sr., 79, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, April 4, 2019 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born November 29, 1939 in Fairmont, he was the son of the late Howard Washington and Gladys Viola Sigley Pownell.
He is survived by two daughters, Robin French and Tracey Michael; one son, Richard Pownell, Jr.; two sisters, Nancy Shipley and Carol McCulley and two brothers, David Pownell and John Pownell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Delores Sue Pownell on June 9, 2018; one sister, Dorothy Yost and two brothers, Ted Pownell and Clark Pownell.
Services and interment will be private.
