Reign takes first at Platinum Nationals

Morgan County’s own competition cheer team, WSW Empire, Reign took first place in the Platinum Nationals competition held in Reading, Pa. on March 31. This is the second first place national title for the freshman team.

The Morgan County-based Empire Cheer program is a competitive cheer squad that branched off of the Warm Springs Wolves Football and Cheer program.

WSW Empire Reign is a youth level team with athletes aged 9 to 13. WSW Empire Royalty is a senior-level team with cheerleaders aged 13 to 16.

The cheer team is a performance recreation competitive cheer squad. They are a quad state team traveling the tri-state area of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. They compete against other cheer squads from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Delaware, and North Carolina.

The cheer teams are coached by Samantha Migliaccio, Amy Norcross and Mandi Michael.
