1922-2019

Olga Vadean “Deanie” Devers, 96, of Slanesville, died Friday, July 12, 2019 at her home.

Born August 12, 1922 in Anadarko, Okla., she was the daughter of the late Grover and Edna Ann Thomasson Fair. S

he was a member of Greenwood United Methodist Church.

She was a high school graduate and had worked as a supervisor in the electronics industry.

She also worked at Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown during World War II.

She liked quilting, crocheting and liked to dine out for lunch.

She had been a homemaker in recent years.

Surviving are her daughter, Carol Buckler, Slanesville; one sister, Alline Newman, Thompson, Ga.; two grandchildren, Robert Wilson IV, Hagerstown, Md. and Angie Wilson, Leitersburg, Md.; one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Russell Gordon and Donald Elsworth “Jack” Devers, Sr.; one son, Robert Wilson III; one sister and three brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, July 19 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs where the family will receive friends from noon-1 p.m. Pastor Lloyd McCanna will officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
