1951-2018

Norma Darlene Barnhart, age 66, of Needmore, Pa., passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Chambersburg, Pa.

Born September 20, 1951, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Vergil and Thelma Francis, and the widow of Larry Lee Barnhart, Sr., who passed away on June 28, 1998.

Norma is survived by three sons, Larry L. Barnhart, Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Needmore, Tony S. Barnhart, and Michael A. Barnhart, both of Needmore; two daughters, Dawn R. Barnhart, of Needmore, and Shannon L. Smith and her husband, James, of Millersburg, Pa.; ten grandchildren, Danielle, Brent, Toni Samantha, Ariel, James, Jr., Lee Allen, Will, Destiny, Dustin, and Liam; two great-grandchildren, Chris and Chance; three brothers, Steve, Glenn, and Vergil; and three sisters, Ann, Phyllis, and Carolyn.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Hartley.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., on Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 3 until 5 p.m., where a memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Pastor Lowell Bard will officiate.
