Nola I. Buffington
1935-2020
Nola Irene Buffington, age 84, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., formerly of Dillsburg, Pa., died on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at The Berkeley Springs Center LLC.
Born April 15, 1935 in Bellwood, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles Paul and Mary Alda Detwiler Fisher.
Nola attended public schools in Bellwood, Pa.
She had worked at Wolf’s Diner in Dillsburg and in the warehouse of the Book of the Month Club at Mechanicsburg, Pa.
She enjoyed watching westerns on the television.
Nola is survived by her son, John Pierce and his wife Cheryl of Mechanicsburg; her stepdaughter, Karen L. Myers and her husband Robert of Berkeley Springs; four grandchildren, Tia Myers and Robert Myers, both of Berkeley Springs, Kristen Pierce and Nicole Pierce, both of Mechanicsburg and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Leroy Buffington.
Services and interment in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery, Monroe Township, Pa. will be private.
