No positives from last week’s COVID tests here, say health officials

Morgan County Health Department officials have said that they have received no positive test results from the 353 COVID-19 tests given during two days of free testing locally on May 29 and May 30. Health Department administrator Bill Kearns confirmed the county’s case numbers hadn’t gone up following the testing event. There are 18 lab-confirmed case of the respiratory disease in the county, and all but one person with it has recovered. There is one active case of the disease. There have been no deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Morgan County. According to the West Virginia DHHR COVID-19 website, 978 lab tests for the disease have been administered to county residents.
