Nancy V. Largent
1922-2019
Nancy Virginia Hovermale Largent, age 96, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died at her home on Saturday, April 20, 2019.
Born on November 8, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Rumsey and Elsie Lawyer Hovermale.
During her lifetime she was an active member of Trinity-Asbury United Methodist Church and held offices in the Berkeley Chapter #77 Order of Eastern Star, Ye Towne of Bath Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the Morgan County Historical and Genealogical Society.
For over fifty years, she and her husband Harold Largent and son Patrick owned and operated Largent’s Truck and Implement Center. She enjoyed working with customers at the family business and supporting those groups to which she belonged. Most recently, she enjoyed eating out on Friday evenings with one of her closest friends Nancy Edwards.
She is survived by her son Patrick; daughter Linda McGraw and her husband Jerry of Berkeley Springs; and her grandson J. Wyatt McGraw and his wife Amy and her two great-grandsons Emmett and Andy of Johnstown, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Largent; a brother James Berkeley Hovermale and a sister Margaret Hovermale Ambrose.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, at Trinity-Asbury UMC on Wilkes Street with Pastor Chuck Bergen officiating. Interment will be in Union Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 36 South Green Street in Berkeley Springs. An Eastern Star memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.
