Michael A. Barnard
1975-2019
Michael Alan Barnard, age 44, of Warfordsburg, Pa., was surrounded by his family when he passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the UPMC Pinnacle, in Harrisburg, Pa.
Born in McConnellsburg, Pa., on March 30, 1975, he was the son of Robert Barnard, Jr., of Wellersburg, Pa., and Kathy (Golden) Hixon, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; and the husband of Amy (Murray) Barnard.
He was a welder at JLG Industries, Inc., in McConnellsburg; and he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Victoria Barnard; a son, Michael Barnard, II; three brothers, Matt Barnard, Mark Barnard, and Joshua Barnard; a sister, Jessica (Barnard) Ricker; paternal grandparents, Robert Barnard, Sr., and Darce Barnard; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom he dearly loved.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John Robert Golden and Violet Golden.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, Md., on Wednesday, September 11, from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m., and for one hour prior to the services on Thursday. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the St. Thomas’ Episcopal Cemetery, in Hancock.
