Menissa R. Loggins

1970-2019

Menissa “Misty” Reneé Loggins, age 49, passed away in the early morning of Friday, October 18, 2019 at her home in Great Cacapon, W.Va.

Born July 28, 1970 in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of Odis Lee Brown and the late Helen Louise Ridenour.

She married Johnny Mac Loggins on March 31, 1990.

She gave birth to her son Johnmichael Loggins and supported two stepdaughters, Chasity Church and Ashley McCloskey. Misty was also sister to the late Michael Brown and surviving sisters, Nancy Schewanick and Chyna Brown. Her grandchildren, Jesse and Jayden Murray, Cadie McCloskey, Canyon and Journee Church, were so incredibly loved and supported.

Misty found the most joy in her life by being around her family. Along with her children and grandchildren, Misty also had four furry dogs, whom she also treated as family.

Throughout her life, Misty was the most beautiful example of selfless love. Without fail, she was always there for the people she loved most. She was witty, blunt, giving, and beautiful inside and out. She was a lover of dogs, her people and nudity. Her unwavering love for her friends and family will forever be imprinted in our hearts. “Don’t take her fishing, she will never leave the lake.”

Her service will be a small private family affair.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Humane Society of Morgan County, P.O. Box 705, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411.
