1940-2019

Mary Jane Stuckey, age 79, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at the War Memorial Hospital, in Berkeley Springs.

Born in Hancock, Md., on August 12, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Bridgett (Weller) Moats.

She was a 1958 graduate of Hancock High School.

She was employed for forty years with the Berkeley Springs State Park as a masseuse, and with the Highs Dairy store, in Berkeley Springs, for several years.

She especially loved her pets, as well as crocheting and listening to country music.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra L. Miller and her husband, Kenneth W., from Hedgesville, W.Va.; one son, Gregory L. Stuckey, also of Hedgesville; three grandchildren, Amanda and John Miller and Crystal Michael; seven great-grandchildren, Kiersten, Madison, Michael, Makayla, Connor, Chloe, and Heaven; two great-great-grandchildren, Levi and Ryker; two brothers, Ray and Herman Moats; and four sisters, Betty Hixon, Veriee Weller, Etta Mae Younker, and Rosalie Ward.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Pittman and Shelvie Jean Crouse; and three brothers, Homer, Leroy and Paul Moats. T

he family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, Md., on Monday, December 9, 2019, from 6 until 8 p.m., and at the church one hour prior to funeral services on Tuesday.

Funeral services were held at the Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren, 14904 Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, Md., on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at 11 a.m. Rev. Harry Strite officiated. Interment followed in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren at the above address.
