Mary Evangline “Tootie” Younker, 84, of Hancock, died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at her home while under the care of Hospice of Washington County.

Born December 16, 1934 in Clear Spring, Md., she was the daughter of the late James Russell and Grace Agnes Snyder Robinson.

She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Hancock.

She attended Hancock Schools.

She worked as a cashier at Weaver’s Restaurant in Hancock.

She liked doing word search puzzles, baking, cooking and watching soap operas and game shows.

She is survived by one daughter, Gail Fitzwater, Warfordsburg, Pa.; seven sisters, Kay Lynch and Dolly Divelbliss, both of Hancock, June Winters and Sharon Robinson, both of Hagerstown, Md., Karen Wills, Norwich, Conn., Geraldine Budd, Little River, S.C. and Ruth Stanley, Spotsylvania, Va.; one brother, John Robinson of Hawaii; three grandchildren, Melissa Gladhill, Chambersburg, Pa., Bradley Davis, Berkeley Springs and Joshua Younker, Hancock; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Eugene Younker, Sr.; one son, Ray Younker, Jr. and one grandson, Ronald Davis, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 14 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2 E. High Street, Hancock with Rev. Fr. Allan Weatherholt, Jr. officiating.

Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, February 13 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs and from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
