Marian R. Kerns 1930-2018

Marian Ruth Kerns, 87, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center. Born November 29, 1930 in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Austin William and Ann Mea Miller McCusker. She was a Christian. She graduated from Hancock High School. She worked for London Fog for 20 years. She liked reading the newspaper, washing and ironing clothes and listening to gospel hymns. She is survived by six daughters, Denise Walters, Patsy Kesecker, Beverly Kesecker, Donna Kerns, Diane Bloyer and Judy Beattie, all of Berkeley Springs; one son, Stanley Kerns, Berkeley Springs; two brothers, Gail McCusker, Hancock and Lester McCusker, Clear Spring, Md.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Howard Kerns on February 13, 2002; one son, Randy Kerns; three sisters, Regina Manning, Evelyn McCusker and Anna Kidwell and four brothers, Loyal, Kenneth, Eurcel and Donald McCusker. Funeral services were held Friday, March 9 at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Berkeley Springs. Pastor Robert Veil, Jr. officiated. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
