Maria E. Jones
1941-2019
Maria Elizabeth Jones, 78, of Berkeley Springs, died Friday, January 25, 2019 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born January 4, 1941 in East Germany, she was the daughter of the late Flexi H. and Edith Meier Hoehle.
She attended schools in East Germany.
She was a model in Paris, France. She liked painting.
She is survived by her husband Pete Willie Franklin Jones of 60 years at home; one daughter, Lorraine Wacaster, Berkeley Springs; four grandchildren, Jason Jones, Jeremy Wacaster, Torrey Wacaster and Travis Jones; three great-grandchildren and two step grandchildren, Rutledge and Beverley Paterson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Jones and one sister, Anita Baumann.
Funeral services were Monday, February 4 at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Berkeley Springs.
Pastor Lloyd McCanna officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
