1944-2020

Loretta Marie Ridgeway, 75, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, January 11, 2020 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born March 4, 1944 in Falling Rock, she was the daughter of the late Harry Maurice and Eva Marie Wolford Richman.

She was a Methodist.

She had worked for Cacapon State Park as a waitress.

She liked crocheting, Bible study, drawing, playing the piano and puzzles.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Barton, Winchester, Va. and Vicky Unger, Berkeley Springs; one son, Joseph Unger, Jr.; two sisters, Louise Nicholson, Slanesville and Alicia Repine, Capon Bridge and one brother, Harry “Sonny” Richman, Jr., Capon Bridge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Ridgeway and one sister, Loraine Smoot.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 18 at Central United Methodist Church, 44 Timber Mountain Road, Loom with Pastor Alanna McGuinn officiating. Burial will be private.
