Lewis Sherman Didawick

1941-2021

Lewis Sherman Didawick, age 80, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. went to heaven on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born January 10, 1941 in Morgan County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Anthony Joseph and Bessie Marie Kerns Didawick.

He was a Christian.

Lewis attended Morgan County Public Schools and retired from the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources.

He enjoyed working on the farm with his sons, playing his records and listening to music and most of all laughing and talking with his family. He enjoyed farm life, loved gardening, camping and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Lewis is survived by his wife of 59 years, Martha Ellen Mason Didawick, at home; two sons, Jeffrey Lewis Didawick and his wife Kim, of Hancock, Md., Jason Jay Didawick and his wife Vonda, of Berkeley Springs; one sister, Glenda DuVall, of Amaranth, Pa.; one brother, Buddy Didawick, of Berkeley Springs; five grandchildren, Krista Young and Jarrett Didawick, both of Hancock, Sophie Didawick, Tiffany Rider and Jay Didawick, all of Berkeley Springs, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Anthony Clay Didawick and one brother, Harry Didawick.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Services and entombment at Shenandoah Memorial Park will be private.
