Lewis Paul Morrison, 90, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Elmcroft of Martinsburg.

Born January 17, 1929 in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of the late James Earl and Margaret Ann Swaim Morrison.

He was a member of Berkeley Springs Church of Christ.

He was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

He served with the U.S. Army from April 21, 1952 until his honorable discharge at the rank of Corporal on April 20, 1954.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator with Bethlehem Steel at Sparrows Point, Md. and was a member of AFL-CIO Steel Workers Local #2609.

He was a member of AARP. He liked gardening, woodworking and drawing.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Morrison, Las Cruces, New Mexico and Patrick Morrison, Martinsburg; three sisters, Betty Howard, Nashville, Tenn., Mary DuBard and Nancy Morrison, both of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Matthew Morrison, Nashville and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Luetta Elizabeth Roach Morrison on November 12, 2019 and four brothers, David Morrison, Andrew Morrison, James Morrison and John Morrison.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 24 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs with Dick Bartrug officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from noon-4 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
