1942-2018

Lester Glen Yost, 75, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, August 18, 2018 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born August 20, 1942 in the New Hope section of Morgan County, he was the son of the late Glenn Switzer and Pauline Frances Walls Yost.

He was a Christian.

He attended Berkeley Springs High School.

He worked with Bath Candy Company as a deliveryman, with Glichner Company and retired after 28 years of service as materials supervisor with Fleetwood Industries in Hancock.

He was an avid horseback rider, specializing in barrel racing.

He was a member of the Morgan County Saddle Club and Coosa Valley Kennel Club.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Connie Sue Stotler Yost, at home; his children, Craig Yost, Michael Swisher and Eric Swisher, all of Berkeley Springs; one sister, Rosalie Yost, Berkeley Springs; one brother, Lewis Yost, Martinsburg; seven grandchildren, Ryan Yost, Martinsburg, Michelle Swisher, Spotsylvania, Va., Daniel Swisher, Aikens, S.C., Chase Swisher, Great Cacapon, Kaytlynn Yost, Hannah Swisher and Ryker Swisher, all of Berkeley Springs; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Leslie Yost and two brothers, Joseph Yost and Steve Yost.

Services and interment will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs.
