Larry L. Roman
1953-2018
Larry Lee Roman, age 64, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at his home.
Born December 13, 1953, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lloyd L. and Marguerite R. (Yonker) Roman.
He graduated from Hancock High School with the class of 1972.
He had been employed by G. C. Murphy Co. for 23 years and JLG Industries for 24 years.
He was a former member of the Hancock Jaycees.
He is survived by four sisters, Barbara C. Bivens, Deborah L. Reed and her husband, Brian, Linda Bishop and her husband, Donnie and Hilda Buskirk and her companion, Paul Bowers, all of Hancock; one brother, Steven E. Roman, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; three nieces, Melissa Yonker, Brittany Reed and Christina Roman; two nephews, Scott Buskirk and T.J. Buskirk; and many great nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his faithful companion, his cat, MooMoo; and many chickens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Lloyd W. Roman; one half-sister, Mildred Eddy; a sister-in-law, Audrey Roman; and two brothers-in-law, Eddie Bivens and Sam Buskirk.
The family received friends on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md.
Funeral services began at 2 p.m. Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt, Jr. and Pastor Joe Martin officiated.
Burial followed at the Antioch Christian Cemetery, in Big Cove Tannery, Pa.
