Larry E. Creek

1956-2020

Larry Edwin Creek, 64, of The Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, formerly of Saxton and Portsmouth, Va., died Sunday, November 15, 2020.

Born on April 29, 1956 in Berkeley Springs, a son of the late Mary O. Price and Thomas R. Creek, Jr.

He was a 1974 graduate of Hancock High School, and then served his country in the U.S. Navy receiving the Navy Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, Navy Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Southwest Asia Service Medal.

He was later employed as a truck driver for Swift Transportation and Givens Trucking.

Surviving are two daughters, Jaime Simpkins and Elizabeth Creek; four grandchildren, LeAnne Simpkins, Andrew Halverson, Christopher Simpkins and Leslee Simpkins and two sisters, Dianna Hartley and Lora Joy. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas R. Creek III.

A graveside service was held at Thursday, November 19 at the Piney Plains Methodist Cemetery, Little Orleans, Md.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. P.O. Box 214, Broad Top City, PA 16621 to assist the family with final expenses.
