Kenneth Schetrompf
1935-2018
Kenneth “Nuke” Schetrompf, 82 of Bartow, Fla., died Sunday, September 9, 2018 at his home.
Born October 18, 1935 in Warfordsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Arlie J. Schetrompf, Sr. and Hazel Bishop Schetrompf.
He retired from the Air Force in 1976 as Master Sargent serving 22 years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Gladys Dalrymple Schetrompf; three daughters; two sons; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Norma “Sally” Payne, Berkeley Springs and Arlene Lemmert, Inwood, W.Va. and one brother, Arlie Schetrompf, Jr., Warfordsburg.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary King and one brother, Lynn Schetrompf.
He was buried at the Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C. with full military honors.
