Kenneth M. Wilson, Sr.

1931-2018

Kenneth Merwyn Wilson, Sr., 87, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at War Memorial Hospital.

Born September 21, 1931 in Trenton, N.J., he was the son of the late Isaac and Mabel Leonard Wilson.

He was a Christian.

He graduated from Bordentown High School in Bordentown, N.J.

He served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, where he earned the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Occupational Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with one star and United Service Medal.

He worked for more than 40 years as a tool and die maker with Kuhn & Jacob Molding & Tool Company.

He liked woodworking.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth Wilson, Jr., Cherokee, Ala., David Wilson, Charlottesville, Va. and Dawn Wilson, Berkeley Springs; five grandchildren, Charles Putnick, Ashley Payne, Joshua Putnick, Joseph Wilson and Sarah Wilson and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, A. Sonia Fabrizio Wilson on January 16, 2014; one sister, Olive Simone and three brothers, Edgar Wilson, Richard “Butch” Wilson and Harvey Wilson.

Services and burial will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs.
