Kenneth L. McCumbee

1942-2019

Kenneth Leo “Buck” McCumbee, 76, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born November 4, 1942 in the Old Factory Section of Morgan County, he was the son of the late Leo Wilson and Ella Mae Wills McCumbee.

He was of the Presbyterian faith.

He attended Berkeley Springs High School.

He had worked at Aulabaugh Orchards, Prowler Industries and with Fred Truax Construction. He retired as a belt attendant with U.S. Silica.

He was a member of the River Bend Hunting & Fishing Club in Doe Gully.

Surviving are three sisters, Jo Ann Boden, Clear Spring, Md., Linda Bingaman and Darlene Waugh, both of Berkeley Springs; two brothers, Richard McCumbee and Theodore “Pete” McCumbee, both of Berkeley Springs and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger “Ramjet” McCumbee and a infant brother and an infant sister.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, February 2 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs. Pastor Ken Dyar officiated.

Interment was in Greenway Cemetery.
