Kathleen M. Kirchner
1927-2019
Kathleen Margie Kirchner, 92, of Paw Paw, died Friday, October 11, 2019 at The Berkeley Springs Center, Berkeley Springs.
Born August 6, 1927 in Erwin, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Horace and Sarah Lingerfelt Cooper.
She was a Christian.
She attended public schools in Erwin and retired as a machine operator from the Maryland Cup Factory in Baltimore, Md.
She had been a homemaker in recent years.
She liked crocheting, word puzzles and bird watching.
She is survived by her daughter, Joanna Maguire, Paw Paw; her son, Willard Melton, Jr., Berkeley Springs; one sister, Thelma Edwards, Erwin; one brother, Jerry Browning, Johnson City, Tenn.; two grandchildren, David Maguire and Sean Maguire, both of Paw Paw; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Kirchner in 1989 and one brother, Robert Cooper.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 17 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Rt. 522 South, Berkeley Springs.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
