Julie Donahue-Campbell
1939-2021
Ms. Julie “Wavy” Donahue-Campbell (née Sigmon) passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2021 in Baltimore, Md. at the age of 81.
Julie is survived by two daughters, Terri Schappell and Chris Donahue of Baltimore; one brother, George Sigmon of Florida; thirteen grandchildren, Jen Schappell, Brad Schappell (Jessie), Lindsay Donahue (Dan), Leonard Donahue (Lara), Troy Donahue, Emily Donahue, Danielle Donahue, Branden Felix, Derick Donahue (Staci), John Donahue (Debra), Jake Graas, Douglas Bounds (Megan) and Bethany Donahue (Andrew); twenty-six great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Quinn, Destini, Dylan, Hailee, Jazmine, Lilly, Willow, Nyla, Shaelyn, Thomas, Haden, Trenton, Lillian, Camren, Rylee, Cayden, Juliann, Edward, Matthew, Anthony, Makaylee, Kaydence, A’ziyah, Hayden and Jalen; one great-great-grandchild, Wyatt; a good friend, Irene Woodall, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by three sons, Tom Donahue III, Bill Donahue, and Chuck Donahue; two grandchildren, Candice and Thomas IV; both of her parents, and thirteen siblings.
Julie was the fourteenth of fifteen children, born on April 1, 1939 in Julian, West Virginia to Belva Davis and Iva Lovica Sigmon.
In the early 1970’s, she and her five children relocated to Hancock where she was employed by Rayloc Co, the National, Weaver’s and Park -n- Dine.
Julie was a talented singer and poet and would often write and play her own compositions. She was a generous, witty, and dedicated matriarch who loved spending time with family and close friends.
To her nieces and nephews, she was affectionately referred to as Aunt Wavy.
A memorial is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 3, in Baltimore. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Julie’s life.
