Joseph L. Wilson
1922-2018
Joseph Leland Wilson, 96, died on Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Battle Creek, Mich.
He was born January 6, 1922 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
He spent most of his adult life in Takoma Park, Md. but retired to Berkeley Springs in 1986.
He was a member of the Berkeley Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He graduated high school from Mount Vernon Academy in Mount Vernon, Ohio and received a BS in Business Administration from Columbia Union College in Takoma Park.
He was married to Mary Catherine Bee Wilson who died in 2001.
He was involved in his church, mission projects and charities.
He liked to travel and worked as a truck driver for the Columbia Union College mill for a number of years.
At the time of his retirement he was managing a warehouse for Allied Van Lines.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Wright; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in Berkeley Springs.
