John M. Hobday

1935-2018

John Mark Hobday, 82, of Morgantown, passed away on March 27, 2018 at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Mark was born in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., on December 11, 1935, the son of the late Robert Preston Hobday and Frances Virginia (Bohrer) Hobday.

He dedicated a lot of his time as a Scout Master, a coach of many sports, and volunteered many hours in the public school system. Mark is survived by his wife, Barbara, with whom his 59th anniversary was March 28th; two children Joyce DeLawder and husband, John, of Morgantown, and Jeff Hobday and wife, Julie Shultz, of South Carolina; four grandchildren Amy DeLawder, Abby White, Jared DeLawder, and Mallory Hobday; great grandson, Owen White; and sister, Mary Goodman, of Martinsburg.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by two siblings Donald Hobday and Betty Lou Hobday.
