Jo Waits Ennis, 91, of Grantsville, Md., died Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born November 5, 1926 in Ballenger, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Newton Ernest and Edna Muriel Gulley Waits.
She was an interpreter for the deaf at Deaf.net and was a part-time missionary for Chosen People Ministries.
She was a member of the Welsh Memorial Baptist and AARP.
She is survived by two sons, John Ennis, Washington, D.C. and David Ennis, St. Augustine, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Ennis and one son, William Ennis, Jr.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 23 at Welsh Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Joe Saweikis officiated.
Interment was in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap, Flintstone, Md.
