Jerry L. Unger
1951-2020
Jerry Lynn Unger, 68, of Warfordsburg, Pa., died Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at his home.
Born October 10, 1951, he was the son of Lawrence Unger and the late Marcella (McCusker) Unger of Warfordsburg and the husband of Pamela (Bauer) Unger.
He grew up in Waterford, Michigan and spent summers in Hancock with his grandparents.
He graduated from Waterford Township High School in 1969 and went on to college earning a bachelor’s degree in communication and journalism and a masters degree in photography.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Stephen Unger, Jonesboro, Ark., Ed Unger, Cumberland, Rebecca Hibbs of White House, Tenn., Nathan Hibbs, Portland, Tenn., Jeremy Unger, Virginia and Jaime (Marcus) Martin, Jonesboro, Ark.
Private funeral services were held at the Grace Fellowship Christian Church, Hancock on Saturday, March 21, with Reverend Edward Guyer officiating.
A Celebration of Life will be held for all friends and family at a later date.
