1962-2020

Jeffrey Lynn Breeden, age 57, of Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 24, 2020.

Born October 29, 1962, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Robert L. Breeden, Sr. and Nancy E. (Wills) Breeden; and the husband, for 36 years, of Janet L. (Truax) Breeden.

He graduated from Hancock High School in 1980; was employed for nineteen years by Fleetwood Industries, in Hancock, Md.; then worked at Shawley’s L.P. Gas, in Hagerstown, Md.

He was a member of the NRA; and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Joshua L. Breeden and his wife, Nicole, of Kearneysville, W.Va.; a daughter, Jennifer L. Breeden and her husband, Henry Mearkle, of Clearville Pa.; two grandchildren, Mason Mearkle, and Mackenzie Mearkle; three brothers, Robert L. Breeden, Jr., of Falling Waters, W.Va., Michael T. Breeden, of Holladay, Tenn., and Thomas W. Breeden, of Zullinger, Pa.; a sister, Angela E. McFadden, of Hancock, Md.; two step-sisters, Della DiCostanzo, and Debbie Hastings; a step-brother, Dean Martin; as well as several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and in-laws.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Nathan E. Martin; and his father-in-law, George S. Truax.

The family received friends on Monday, June 29, 2020, from 4 until 7 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, and on Tuesday, for one hour prior to the funeral services. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at 10 a.m., at the Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Martin officiated. Burial followed in the Bethel Community Church Cemetery, 1040 Bethel Church Rd., Warfordsburg, Pa.

Anyone attending the viewing or funeral services were required to wear a mask, due to the coronavirus regulations.
