Janice Lee Swink, age 72, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at UVA University Hospital in Charlottesville, Va.

Born June 6, 1947 in Frostburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Harold and Mary Ellen Legeer Buskirk.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Janice was a graduate of Hancock High School.

She retired as an inspector with Maryland Ribbon in Hagerstown, Md., and she recently worked as a clerk in the jewelry department at Wal-Mart.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #1311 and Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post #60 Ladies Auxiliary, both in Berkeley Springs.

Janice enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Janice is survived by her husband Oliver Henry “Butch” Swink III at home; her children, George “Brian” Coffman and his wife Darlene of Shippensburg, Pa., Eric Scott Swink and his wife Leslie of Berkeley Springs; four grandchildren, Jeffery Coffman of Chambersburg, Pa., Brice Coffman, Cayden Swink and Finley Swink, all of Berkeley Springs; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Lynn Coffman and one brother, Samuel Wayne Buskirk.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with Pastor Brian Coffman officiating. Burial was in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.

The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
