James M. Yonker, Sr.

1961-2018

James Marvin Yonker, Sr., 57, of McConnellsburg, Pa., died Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, Pa.

Born April 24, 1961 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Ralph Marvin, Sr. and Jean Estelene Miller Yonker.

He was a Christian.

He attended Hancock High School in Hancock.

He was a member of the Webster B. Harrison Sons of the American Legion Squadron 26, Hancock and the Bishop-Raker VFW Post 655 in McConnellsburg.

He worked as a laborer for Jeter Paving in Hagerstown and recently been a tinkerer. He liked NASCAR, woodworking and an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

He is survived by his children, Jamie Bell and Marina Miller, both of Berkeley Springs, James Yonker, Jr. and Keisha Yonker, both of Mocksville, N.C., Amanda Bridendolph, Colleemee, N.C.; two brothers, Faron Weller, Berkeley Springs and Ralph Yonker, Flintstone, Md.; 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Stotler.

Services and burial will be private.

Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses. Arrangements are being handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs.
