James E. Pons

1982-2020

James Edward Pons, age 38, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. died on Friday, June 26, 2020 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born March 23, 1982 in Hagerstown, Md. he was the son of James Lester Pons of Hagerstown, Md. and the late Debbie Davis Pons.

James attended Hedgesville High School.

He worked for Cacapon State Park in the Golf Maintenance Department.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing wild game, cooking and smoking meats. He loved to garden and can everything he grew. He also loved to have fun with his children.

He was a member of the Ten X Gun Range in Berkeley Springs.

He was a “City Slicker turned to a good ole country boy.”

James is survived by his wife Jennifer Dawn Pons of 20 years at home; one daughter, Jenessa A. Pons of Berkeley Springs; one son James A. Pons of Berkeley Springs; three sisters, Kathy Burnside and husband Guy of Hagerstown, Md., Julie Livengood and husband Roger of Falling Waters, W.Va., Nichole Kline and husband Eddie of Boonsboro, Md., and one brother, Daniel Jackson and partner Melissa of Spring Mills, W.Va.; a very special Aunt and Uncle Pamela and Gerald Davis; numerous nieces and nephews.

Family received friends from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 36 S Green Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jack William Hiles, Jr. officiating. Burial were private.
