James C. Creek, Sr.
1935-2019
James Carl Creek, Sr., age 84, of Hancock, Md., passed away in the Hagerstown Healthcare Center, in Hagerstown, Md., on Sunday, November 24, 2019.
Born November 14, 1935, in Piney Plains, Md., he was the son of the late Elmer C. and Catherine Irene (Snyder) Creek; and the husband of Sophie (Hendershot) Creek, whom he had been married to for 63 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Connie S. Creek of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and Sandi L. Bucher and her husband, David of Berkeley Springs; four sons, David L. Creek, Sr. and his wife, Brenda of Berkeley Springs, James C. Creek, Jr. and his wife, Virginia, of Martinsburg, W.Va., Phillip A. Creek of Berkeley Springs, and Matthew L. Creek and his wife, Lisa of Hancock; a brother, Vernon Creek of Hancock; a sister, Wanda Seiders of Erin, Tenn. and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, June Helen Smith; twin granddaughters, Michelle S. and Lauressa L. Dickey and two great-grandsons, Caleb M. and Jordon M. Creek.
Burial will be private at the convenience of his family.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock.
