Irene B. Sheppard
1932-2019
Irene Bell Kerns Sheppard, 87, of Artemas, Pa., and formerly of Hancock, died Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Doey’s House, in Hagerstown.
Born July 13, 1932, in Fulton County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Wilbert and Ida G. Barnhart Kerns; and the widow of Edward Nolan Sheppard.
She was a member of the Long Hollow Church, in Hancock and also the Hancock Lioness Club.
She liked making crafts and quilts.
She is survived by four daughters, Margaret Conrad, Artemas, Ada Willard, Smithsburg, Brenda Sheppard and Jeanette Sheppard; three sons, William Sheppard, Hustontown, Pa., Clyde Sheppard, Williamsport and Gary Sheppard and several grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia Smith and one grandson, Richard Smith.
Services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements were handled by Grove Funeral Home, Hancock.
