Indians Soccer wrap up

One week removed from a two game win streak, the Berkeley Springs High School Lady Indians Soccer team saw that streak quickly end with back-to-back road losses last week.

On Tuesday, October 9 the Lady Indians dropped a 6-0 decision to St. James of Maryland.

The Lady Indians traveled to Clear Spring, Md. for a contest with the Blazers on Thursday, October 11. With rainy conditions, Clear Spring took a 7-1 win over the visitors from Morgan County. Berkeley Springs lone goal came off a Mikalia Ek assist to Caitlin Childers who drilled home a beautiful kick and score.

Berkeley Springs goalie Darby Harris had 14 saves in 20 attempts against the ranked Blazer squad.

On the boys side, Berkeley Springs fell to St. James 7-0 last Tuesday, October 9.

Against Clear Spring on Thursday, October 11 the Tribe lost to the Blazers 8-0. Clear Spring outshot the Indians on goal 40-12.

Next up for the Berkeley Springs Lady Indians was the Class AA Section 1 tournament on Monday, October 15. The #6 seed Lady Indians traveled to East-West Stadium to play the #3 seed East Fairmont Bees.

Next up for the Berkeley Springs Varsity Boys’ Soccer team was the Class AA Sectional 1 tournament on Monday, October 15. The Tribe traveled to Marion County to take on the North Marion Huskies.
