Ila R. Whitacre
1926-2020
Ila Roselea Kidwell Whitacre, 93, of Paw Paw, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at her home.
She was born July 18, 1926 at Levels, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Owen Kidwell and Stella Mae Shreve Kidwell.
She was a 1945 graduate of Paw Paw High School, worked as a file clerk in Washington, D.C., a seamstress at Schoeman Sewing Factory in Winchester, Va and a homemaker.
She is survived by four daughters, Eileen Boone, Gloria Moreland, Constance Baber and Beverly Kerns all of Paw Paw; one son, Neil Whitacre, Paw Paw; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
On September 18, 1946 she married Chauncey Lee Whitacre, who preceded her in death on October 7, 2014.
Graveside service and interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are by Kimble Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
