1931-2019

Hunter Jeff Epperson, 87, of Warfordsburg, Pa., died Friday, March 29, 2019 at his home while under the care of Grane Hospice of Fulton County.

Born on May 7, 1931 in Goodwill, W.Va., he was the son of the late Bert and Mattie Pearl Frazier Epperson.

He was the owner/operator franchisee of 7-11 convenience store. In recent years, he was a welder with the Reid Avery Company and Sparrow Point Company.

He was a Christian and liked hunting, fishing, crabbing, listening to music and just being outdoors.

He is survived by his children, James Epperson, Eden, Robert Epperson and Larry Epperson, Dundalk and Belinda Epperson, Timonium; one sister, Jeanette Hartnet, Poway, Calif.; four step-sisters, Catherine Simpson, Dundalk, Dianne Stirko, Severn, Md., Marie Childers, White Marsh and Brenda DeLuna, Eldersburg; one brother, Paul Epperson, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters, Olive Sprouse, Louise Gerard, Ella Peterson, Armenia Epperson, Violet Moore and Susan Peterson and five brothers, James Epperson, Samuel Epperson, Donald Epperson, Henry Epperson and Burley “Zeke” Epperson.

Services and interment will be private.

Arrangements were handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs.
