Herta E. Wattaul
Herta Elizabeth Wattaul, age 88, born in Graz, Austria, died on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the Berkeley Springs Center, LLC.
She is survived by her children, Heide Santos of Berkeley Springs, Walter Wattaul and his wife Barbara of New York, Peter Wattaul and his wife Rosanne of New York and Sandra Carollo and her husband John of New York; four grandchildren, Jackie, Carolyn and her husband Justin, Ryan and Alex and one great granddaughter, Zara.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Salomon Wattaul on June 22, 2009.
She was a homemaker all her life. She loved to garden, sew, knit, crochet, cook and bake.
Herta was a member of First United Methodist Church and was always actively involved in her church.
She also did a lot of volunteer work her entire life.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, 1601 Second Avenue, Charleston, WV 25387.
Services and burial in Union Chapel Cemetery will be private and at a later date.
