Herman Ray Hartman
1940-2019
Herman Ray Hartman, 79, died Thursday, November 14, 2019 at his home in Berkeley Springs.
He was born on July 29, 1940 in White Post, Va. the son of Harry Hartman and Florence Hartman.
He joined the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in the Ryukyu Islands of the Pacific Ocean.
He moved to Washington, D.C. and joined the I.B.E.W. where he rose to the degree of master electrician.
He married Nancy Patterson.
He moved to Berkeley Springs in 1980.
He pursued ornithology and curated vintage objects.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, James Hartman and Andrew Hartman, five grandchildren Jonah, Alexandria, Joshua, Benjamin and McKenzie Hartman and one sister, Mildred Coulson.
There will be no immediate funeral service, but a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
