Hancock office offering sign up assistance for vaccine

The Town of Hancock is offering local residents assistance with registering for the COVID-19 vaccine this Saturday, February 6, for residents of Maryland aged 65 and older.

The Hancock Works! Workspace in the basement of Town Hall will be available with computers and internet access from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.

“It is our understanding that all registration must be made online,” organizers said in a release.

The only information needed is your name, date of birth, and preferred method of communication (email or phone).

Masking and social distancing are required to participate in registration assistance.

It is anticipated vaccines will be available in two to four weeks once registered.

The town is working with county and hospital officials to secure a vaccine clinic in Hancock, but as of yet no definite plans have been made.
