Hancock man suffers minor injuries in Fulton Co. accident

A Hancock man received minor injuries in an accident on Saturday, January 23 in Fulton County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident occured on Saturday afternoon, January 23, just after 4 p.m. in the 3400 block of Old 126 near Deneens Gap Road.

Police said Franklin L. McKee, 79, of Hancock, was driving his 2006 Dodge Caravan south on Old 126 when it went off the right side of the roadway for unknown reasons.

The Caravan hit a guardrail and then went down an approximate 10 foot embankment.

It then traveled about 30 yards off the roadway before hitting a tree with its front end.

The van to a final rest against the tree, facing southwest.

Police said McKee was wearing his seatbelt but had minor injuries.

He was cited for not driving on roadways laned for traffic.
