The April term of the Morgan County Grand Jury, which was set to meet on Tuesday, April 7, has been postponed until May 6. Prosecuting Attorney Dan James said he’s hopeful the court will hold the Grand Jury meeting next month so that several criminal cases can be presented.
West Virginia Supreme Court officials have directed that only emergency hearings can be held in person during the state’s “Stay at Home” executive order.
Morgan County’s Grand Jury meets three times each year – in January, April and September. Jurors serve under the direction of the Morgan County Circuit Clerk’s office, which contacts citizens about the dates and details of jury duty.
