Glenn R. Cain
1930-2020
Glenn Roy Cain, age 90, of Berkeley Springs W.Va. passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at his sons home surrounded by family.
He was born February 17, 1930 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., the son of the late Floyd and Laura Ann Fritzman Cain.
He was an Episcopal. He attended school in Morgan County.
He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War and was honorably discharged.
He then became a truck driver for Bethlehem Steel in Sparrows Point, Md., as well as Southern States in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
He was a member of Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post #60, Berkeley Springs Moose Lodge #1483 and VFW Post 4019.
Glenn enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets and hunting. He also loved watching baseball, gardening and tinkering around with his gadgets. But his biggest joy was his family.
Glenn is survived by three sons, Glenn Randy Cain of Aberdeen, Md., Gregory Lynn Cain (Linda) of Essex, Md. and Kevin J. Cain of Hedgesville, W.Va.; twin sister Gladys Douglas of Falling Waters, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Jamie Rock (Kelley) of Bristol, Va., Jennifer Paul (Aaron) of Denton, Texas, Matthew Kelly (Ilka) of Bel Air, Md., Jonathan Cain of Aberdeen, Md., Amanda Mize (Nathan) of Lititz, Pa., Candice Pretty of Pa., Colleen Baxter (Butch) of Essex, Md., Laura Pezold (Jonathan) of Frederick, Md. and Sean Kelly (Joshua) of Belcamp, Md.; fourteen great-grandchildren, Tristan, Scarlett, Oliver and Nadia Kelly, Jaedyn Patterson and Nyla Mize, Grayson and Delayne Baxter, Claire and Scarlett Pezold, Britton and Celeste Rock, Matthew and Cheyenne Pretty; along with many nieces and nephews whom he adored.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daugher Tina Maria Kelly; along with seven brothers (Raymond, Lawrence, Virgil, Stanley, Hammond, Cletus and Ercel); two sisters (Helen Montgomery and Zella Ruth Cain) and daughter-in-law Rose Cain.
Funeral arrangements will be done at a later time, privately with family.
