George Janowiak
1943-2019
George Janowiak, 76, of Hedgesville, died Sunday, December 8, 2019 at his home.
Born July 9, 1943, he was the son of the late Joseph Paul and Anna Marie Yurek Janowiak.
He was a Christian.
He attended Glen Burnie High School in Glen Burnie, Md.
He worked as a Stevadore for the Union Local 333 in Baltimore.
He was a motorcycle enthusiast, liked the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Marian Joan Jordan Janowiak at home; one daughter, Michele “Shelly” Ellenberger, Glen Burnie; two sons, Vincent Janowiak, Edgewater, Md. and John Janowiak, Baltimore; two sisters, Margaret Maura, Lakeland, Fla. and Anna Hatfield, Pasadena, Md.; two brothers, William Janowiak of Ohio and Alfred Janowiak, Great Cacapon; 12 grandchildren, Brandy Criswell, Jennifer Ramos, Veronica Kalin, Jillan Weiger, Garett Ellenberger, George Ellenberger IV, Angel Ellenberger, Gage Janowiak, Shane Ellenberger, Kevin Janowiak, Chloie Janowiak and William Legare and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Josh Janowiak and Jordan Legare; one sister, Mary Janowiak and one brother, Joseph Janowiak. Jr.
Family will receive friends on Friday, December 13 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 36 S. Green Street, Berkeley Springs. Burial will be private.
