Eugene H. Mulder

1934-2019

Eugene H. “Gene” Mulder, age 85, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., began his ultimate adventure on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 with his loving wife, Lynn, by his side.

Formerly of Blue Island, Illinois, he was born to his mother and father February 6, 1934.

Gene was the loving and supportive husband of Lynn Pfau Mulder for nearly 27 glorious years.

He leaves behind in addition to his wife, sons Bryan (Tammy) of Henderson, Nev., Bud (Brenda) of Sykesville, Md., Dave (Connie) of Lineboro, Md., Avery (Heather) of York, Pa., and Tyler (Jamie) of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. He was a proud grandfather to Holly, Jason, Justin, Julie, Greg, Michael, John, Delilah, Willow, Odessa and a great grandfather times nine.

Meeting him on his adventure are his son, Tim; his sisters, Margaret, Lil and Evie and his brother, Bill.

Gene loved his family and loved to travel but he felt he never traveled enough.

He loved his movies, especially those featuring John Wayne. Guess now he will finally meet the “Duke” himself.

He was a meticulous engineer and enjoyed restoring his 1953 Singer 4AD Roadster automobile.

And last but not least, he leaves behind “the girls”, his three, yes three Italian Greyhound puppies, Bella, Luci and Pia.

Gene decided to give his family and friends a break and not have a viewing, so in honor of Gene, we ask you to sit back with a John Wayne movie (preferably a western) and remember the love and enjoyment he shared in his life.

A celebration of Gene’s life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Berkeley Springs.

With the assistance of those special loving people at Hospice of the Panhandle, Gene’s last year was filled with care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers and cards, Gene desired donations be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430 to continue this worthwhile service to the community.
