Ethel M. Silver
1927-2019
Ethel Muriel Silver, 91, of Hedgesville, died on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born November 16, 1927 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late John Michael and Mary Weigle.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She was a homemaker.
She was the eldest living resident of the Cherry Run community.
She liked traveling and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Victor Silver, Steven Silver, Susan Laing, Rebecca Silver all of Hedgesville; David Silver, Debra Ahalt both of Martinsburg; Sandra French, Harpers Ferry; Tara Silver, Berkeley Springs; Mark Silver, Cherry Run; Brian Silver, Sydney, Australia; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Silver on November 16, 2004, one son, Jerry Wayne Silver and one brother, Bernard Vaughn Weigle.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, March 2, 11 a.m. at Cherry Run United Methodist Church, Hedgesville with Pastor Dennis Rhoe officiating. Burial was in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.
