Ella G. Eckerd
1927-2018
Ella Genevieve Eckerd, 91, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at The Berkeley Springs Center.
Born February 17, 1927 in Olympia, Wash., she was the daughter of the late George and Gladys Walden Linden.
She was a member of the Berkeley Springs Church of Christ.
She was a homemaker all of her life.
She liked doing word searches, watching food shows, embroidery and reading the Bible.
She is survived by her children, Marilyn Hall and Sue Guidara, both of Berkeley Springs, Rodney Eckerd, Hustontown, Pa.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George Foster Eckerd; six sisters, Lucille Denhart, Violet McNeil, Dixie Linden, Pauline Linden, Arlene Linden and Nettie Linden and five brothers, Elgin Linden, Clarence Linden, George Linden, Jr., John Linden and Gustoff Linden.
Memorial services were conducted Saturday, July 7 at Berkeley Springs Church of Christ, Berkeley Springs. Van Sprague officiated. Burial was private.
Arrangements were handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs.
