Elizabeth G. Mills
1926-2018
Elizabeth Grubb Mills, 92, of Berkeley Springs, formerly of Bluefield, died on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at The Berkeley Springs Center LLC.
Born April 24, 1926 in Rural Retreat, Va., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Rosa B. Grubb.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bluefield where she taught Sunday School.
She was a graduate of Virginia public schools and attended Bluefield Business College.
She had worked as a secretary with General Motors Corporation and retired as a secretary with Westminster Presbyterian Church, both in Bluefield. She had also worked as an In-Home Health Caregiver.
She liked flower gardening, lawncare, managed her community swimming pool and was a fan of the Bluefield baseball teams.
Surviving are her children, Shirley Huntzberry, Hedgesville; Donna Bennett, Jacksonville, Fla. and Richard Mills, The Colony, Texas; three grandchildren, Eric Williams, Salem, Va., Shanahan Elmore, Berkeley Springs and Jonathan Elmore of Hagerstown, Md., two great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Mills in 1981 and two sisters.
Services and interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Bluefield, will be private.
