1941-2018

Dorothy Jean Beeler, 77, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born June 3, 1941 in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Franklin and Grace Viola Fox Householder.

She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

She attended Mt. Garfield School and Berkeley Springs High School.

She had worked at Little Miss canning factory, Vanguard Products, Weber’s Meat Market, Berkeley Springs Bowlerama and Dugan’s Supermarket. She also worked as a house cleaner. She had been a homemaker in recent years.

She liked playing Yahtzee and canning.

Surviving are her daughter, Deborah Smith, Berkeley Springs; her companion of 10 years, Robert “Bob” Stotler, Berkeley Springs; one sister, Anna Michael, Berkeley Springs; one brother, Walter Householder, Hedgesville; two granddaughters, Amanda Stevens and Alicia Smith, both of Berkeley Springs; four great-grandchildren, Alexia Stevens, Elijah Stevens, Sunni Stevens and Lilliana Francis, all of Berkeley Springs and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Cyrus “Buck” Beeler, Jr. on October 23, 2000; three sisters, Alice Hobday, Nettie Michael and Frances Taylor and three brothers, Raymond Householder, Homer Householder and Freddie Householder.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, October 26 at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, Berkeley Springs. Pastor Michael Leedom officiated.

Interment was in Union Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs.
