Donald E. Largent

1933-2019

Donald Edward “Don” Largent, 86, of Paw Paw, died on Monday, October 7, 2019 at his home.

He was born on September 20, 1933 in Great Cacapon, a son of the late Wilbur W. and Viola Stribey Largent.

He was a veteran in the United States Marine Corp., worked as a quality controller for PPG in Cumberland, Md., member of the Deford Lodge Post #88 in Berkeley Springs, Ali Gham Shriners in Cumberland, Md., Paw Paw Fire & Rescue, American Legion Post #128 in Paw Paw, a deputy reserve for the Morgan County Sheriff Department and the Protestant faith.

He liked hunting, fishing and wood working.

He married Jo A. Gordon Largent on June 18, 1955 in Paw Paw.

Surviving with his wife of 64 years is one son, Donald Largent, II of Paw Paw; two daughters, Vicky Wolfe, Susie Slider both of Paw Paw; four grandchildren, Becky Carpenter, Adam Wolfe, Billy Slider and Kasey Slider and five great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a brother, William Largent and a sister, Betty Moran.

A celebration of his life was held at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Officiated by Pastor Darlene Powers. Inurnment will be private in the Camp Hill Cemetery at a later date.
